Sometimes you may wish to export content from your Social Squared forum for archival purposes, or to add it to a library or similar. Social Squared does not currently have a built-in Export feature, but you can take advantage of SharePoint's export feature to do this.
Note: If your goal is to remove old content so that only fresh content is displayed, then you can use our Content Date feature to limit the displayed topics to those within a recent timeframe. Doing this will not actually remove the content from the SharePoint lists, but will just flag it not to display. This means that an Admin can still access the older content, create reports on it, etc.
View the SS_Posts list
Open the SS_Posts list from the Site Contents page in your SharePoint site. Or if you are using Social Squared in Microsoft Teams, you can get to the underlying SharePoint site from the overflow menu of the Files tab in your Team:
This will take you to the site's Document Library, and from there you can go to the Site Contents page via the Gear menu in the upper right.
Prepare the SS_Posts list
By default, the SS_Posts list only displays each post's Topic Title. Before using SharePoint's list export feature, you will want to display any columns that you wish to export. To add columns to the current view, select Edit Current View in the View dropdown:
On the page that opens, tick the checkboxes beside the columns you wish to export.
